Garland Shields is a Serial Entrepreneur and Founder of SubHut.com and the BrickCity Group. He is a business enthusiast and consultant renowned for establishing several start-ups and assisting businesses to derive optimal solutions that leverage competitive advantage.

Garland is a highly accomplished professional and one of Brooklyn’s top Million Dollar Lister, with outstanding success in acquiring several sought-after real estate assets and reviving numerous failing businesses.

Over the years, he has gained solid backgrounds in Real Estate Investment and Development, Business Management, Consulting, Film Production and Competitive Analysis. Garland’s major strength is his unique ability to create and implement new business models and opportunities; honing strategies and making the complex decisions that spawn results.

Through creativity and dogged determination, he has successfully founded and operated several successful businesses that have grown to the zenith of their various industries.

In 2002, Garland launched Aqua Massage Spas, which expanded to eleven locations in major shopping malls within Tri-State New York and Connecticut. In 2008, he successfully launched YungJunk.com (The #1 Spot To Rent Textbooks) with a vision to save students thousands of dollars throughout their college career.

In 2010, he also founded SubHut Realty, a boutique brokerage firm focused on Apartment Rentals. Currently, SubHut has expanded to become an online syndication platform for owners, agents and brokers.

In the summer of 2012, Garland founded and launched Frozen Social, the first ever healthy Homemade ice cream parlor in the Bedford Stuyvesant area of Brooklyn. In 2015 Garland founded and launched RealFeed.com, a free listing syndication platform for real estate professionals that points to major online portals.

In the Summer of 2017, Garland founded The BrickCity Group, a real estate investment firm that focuses on acquiring townhomes and commercial properties within the Baltimore, Maryland market. He plans on revitalizing areas in Baltimore by constructing apartments that are affordable to students and working professionals.  

He’s also in the process of launching other business ventures, taking each challenge with zeal and precision.

Garland is super ambitious, charismatic and self motivated, always bringing his energy, knowledge and commitment of excellence to accomplish his aspirations. When he’s rarely off professional duties, he enjoys cycling, playing basketball, reading and spending quality time with family and friends.
